| MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURES FOR |
| THE LAMOILLE AREA BOARD OF REALTORS® |

| In order to become a REALTOR® member of the Lamoille Area Board of REALTORS® (LABOR), you must complete the following: |
|
| 1. Obtain your Real Estate License from the Vermont Real Estate Commission. For more information on this process, go to http://www.vtprofessionals.org/opr1/real_estate. |
|
| 2. Complete the Lamoille Area Board of REALTORS® Membership Application. click here to download the form (select save). The application form will require you to attach a copy of your Vermont Real Estate License and obtain your Designated/Managing Broker’s signature. When you join LABOR, you are a part of a Three Way Agreement between the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the Vermont Association of REALTORS® (VAR) and the Lamoille Area Board of REALTORS® (LABOR). | a. Application Fee: $150.00 to LABOR. This is a one time fee. |
| b. NAR Dues: This is an annual fee and is prorated monthly for the fiscal year. It is based upon the date your license was issued. (Fiscal Year January 1 – December 31) |
| c. VAR Dues: This is an annual fee and is prorated monthly for the fiscal year. It is based upon the date your license was issued. (Fiscal Year January 1 – December 31) |
| d. LABOR Dues: This is an annual fee and is prorated quarterly for the fiscal year. It is based upon the date your license was issued. (Fiscal Year January 1– December 31) |

| 3. New Member Orientation – You must attend an Orientation class. Currently, it is a one day class offered by VAR. For the list of course offerings, go to www.vtrealtor.com. On the home page, click on “Education At A Glance”. All VAR classes are listed there. |

| 4. Code of Ethics – The new Realtor® Code of Ethics class may be offered at times by VAR or through other boards. You may also take the class free of charge, online at www.realtor.org. After you login, look for the “Popular Links Menu”. Click on “Code of Ethics Training”. Next click on “New Member Code of Ethics Orientation”. Once there, you are on your way. It is recommended that you take this class prior to the New Member Orientation Class. |

| Upon approval of your application for membership by the Lamoille Area Board of Directors, payment of your dues, completion of the Orientation class and Code of Ethics class, you are eligible to become a full board member. LABOR has membership meetings every other month and you will be administered the Realtor® pledge as soon as possible. |

Multiple Listing Service (MLS): Upon Vermont License Issuance and submission of your Application for Membership to LABOR, you may apply for access to our MLS Board.
